Greater Relief for Hiitolanjoki and Huuhanranta
Huuhanranta and Ritakoski on the Hiitolanjoki River are popular recreational sites where visitor numbers have increased significantly, especially during the summer season. The current toilet facilities are no longer sufficient to meet the level of use in these areas. This public-benefit investment project will construct additional toilets to meet the needs of the high number of visitors. The aim is to improve hygiene and environmental cleanliness, ensure accessibility, and use ecological and maintenance-efficient solutions. The project will be implemented in spring 2026, and funding has been applied for from the EU Rural Development Programme through Kärki-Leader.
