Bikeferry M/S Rasti
The Rasti ferry operates as a connection vessel between Sarviniemi and Kyläniemi during the summer of 2025, from Wednesday to Sunday. Additionally, there is a weekly connection from Sarviniemi to Lintusalo on 1–3 days per week.
During midsummer, the Rasti ferry also provides access to the Ruuhonsaari recreation island on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. The return from the island is only possible the following day – spend a stunning night camping on an island in Lake Saimaa!
Tickets for the Rasti ferry must be purchased in advance from the ticket shop (links can be found below the schedules). Please arrive at the departure harbor well in advance, at least 15 minutes before departure!

M/s Rasti drives via Ruuhonsaari from Sarviniemi to Lintusalo on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Those staying on the island must equip themselves with tent and their own snacks. There is no biking paths on Ruuhonsaari island, facilities are barbecue shelters, toilets and sauna. Possibility of return on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Read more about Ruuhonsaari!
Return trip on Wednesday and Friday via Lintusalo to Sarviniemi, Thursday straight back. Of course, those who go to Puumala can also stay in Lintusalo harbour.
