The Bike Ferry Rasti will operate as a connecting ferry from Sarviniemi to Kyläniemi and Puumala’s Lintusalo also in summer 2027.

Rasti also takes you to the Ruuhonsaari excursion harbor in midsummer on Tue–Wed–Thu–Fri. Returning from the island is only possible the following day – spend the night on a Saimaa island!
Please arrive at the departure harbor well in advance, at least 15 minutes before departure!

Those staying on the island must bring their own shelter, drinking water and supplies.
Return trips are available on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday or Saturday.
On Wednesdays and Fridays, the return trip to Sarviniemi is via Lintusalo. On Thursdays, the return trip is directly to Sarviniemi. Passengers travelling to Puumala can, of course, also get off at Lintusalo.

This is m/s Rasti
The Rasti bicycle ferry has been operating on Lake Saimaa since summer 2021. The South Karelia Foundation for Recreation Areas rents the vessel, which was previously used for fairway maintenance, from Arctia Meritaito. The Rasti bicycle ferry is registered to carry 33 passengers, and the open deck has space for 25 passengers with bicycles. Passengers can purchase snacks and refreshments on board and pay by card or cash.
In the 2027 season, Rasti operates from 5 June to 28 August, and the service is operated by Saimaan sisävesiliikennöinti Oy.
